On Wednesday, April 24th, there were 224 Highland Park student athletes recognized at the Cornerstone Athlete Award Program. HPISD Athletic Director Johnny Ringo led the program and senior James McGinley began the program with the invocation.

The purpose of the program is to recognize junior and senior student athletes who exhibit excellent performance in all that they do. The Cornerstone Scholar Athlete Program began in 1995.
