On Saturday, March 23rd, the Lady Scots Track & Field Team hosted the Tracy Wills Invitational at Germany Park. Every year this is a very special day for the Lady Scots. This was the 29th year for the Tracy Wills Invitational. The following information is on the meet program: Tracy Wills was an outstanding Highland Park runner and honor student. She was known for her quick smile and as a fierce competitor. She died suddenly on March 1, 1995 of pneumonia. She was 15 years old. It is in her memory that we compete today.

This year the Lady Scots hosted five schools: Crandall, Garland, Pinkston, Richardson, and Young Women’s Leadership of Ft. Worth. The Lady Scots won both the Varsity and JV Divisions. The team set 61 new personal records and had 10 new season bests.

This is also a day the team honors the seniors. Class of 2024: Caroline Allen (captain), Nelle Blaylock, Adalyn Booth, Dylann Choi, Kayla Dickerson (captain), Rylie Galanos (captain), Ashley Goldman, Sophia Hamilton, Kiana Payervand, Emory Rhodes (captain), Mary Susan Scheble, Ana Simpson (captain), and Katie Taulbee.

The annual Fun Run for girls ages K-6th was also a big success! It was great to have all of the kids running and meeting the Lady Scots.

A big thank you to all of the parents, coaches, teachers, and community members who volunteered to help with the Tracy Wills Invitational. We could not host this meet without your help! We appreciate you so much!

The next meet for the Lady Scots is the District 7-6A Championships on Wednesday, April 3rd and Thursday, April 4th at Jesuit. On Wednesday, the meet starts at 2:00 p.m., and on Thursday, the meet starts at 1:00 p.m.

Go Scots!
